AAA reports that more than 46.9 million Americans are expected to travel 50 miles or more for July 4 celebrations, and when looking at the week of July 4^th in 2017, including the weekends before and after the holiday.

More than 47,000 flights were disrupted, and that the Fridays before and after July 4^th were the busiest travel days within this period.
