Sightseeing at Southwest Central Park in Manhattan, at Columbus Circle, turned into the worst nightmare for an Italian Tourist visiting New York City today.

He wanted to dive into the New York outdoor scene one more time, before catching a flight home to Rome, Italy at 6pm Sunday evening, when a homeless man randomly knifed him down at this New York Tourist hot spot.

The man was standing near the southwest corner of Central Park around 1:30 p.m. when he was stabbed in the midsection, according to cops.

The homeless guy stabbed him in the back without any reason.

Medics brought the man to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in serious condition, FDNY officials said.

Police is still hunting for the knife wielding attacker. The victim is expected to survive his wounds.
