The owner of Christian travel company Galilea Tour in North Jakarta, said on Thursday that the Israeli authorities had permitted Indonesians to enter the country until June 26.

According to Galilea Tour, Israel has waived its travel ban for Indonesian passport holders until after Idul Fitri.

Galilea Tour said it had received the information from GEMM Travel, an Israel-based Christian travel company, which released an official letter stating that the Israel Foreign Affairs Ministry had permitted all Indonesian travel groups to enter Israel until June 26.

Previously, the Israeli authorities had reportedly barred Indonesians from entering the country following Jakarta’s decision to bar entry to Israelis in response to the ongoing unrest in Palestinian territory Gaza.
