THAI signs lease for eight Boeing 777-300ERs

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently signed a long-term lease agreement with BOC Aviation for eight Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently signed a long-term lease agreement with BOC Aviation for eight Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, THAI president, said: “Thai Airways International’s corporate vision is to be the ‘First Choice Carrier with Touches of Thai.’ As we enhance our reputation of providing good service with a young fleet, we are pleased to partner BOC Aviation, Asia’s leading aircraft leasing company, for this transaction.”

BOC Aviation has ordered eight 777-300ERs direct from Boeing for long-term lease to Thai Airways International. The lease transaction marks the first time that BOC Aviation has worked with Thailand’s national carrier. The aircraft are powered by GE90-115BL engines and are scheduled for delivery to THAI from August 2012 to October 2013.
