The Civil Aviation Administration of China has published a notice concerning the expansion of Spring Airlines’s business scope making it the first private airline company in China to obtain traffic rights to Hong Kong and Macau.

The notice said that Spring Airlines’ application to expand its business scope has already passed the primary examination of CAAC East China Regional Administration.

Its business scope will expand from domestic air passenger and cargo transport to passenger and cargo transport services for domestic (including Hong Kong and Macau), Shanghai or other designated areas to neighboring countries.

It is also learned that the company will launch a route from Wuhan to Sanya for the coming Labor Day holiday on May 1.
