Skal realizes that air fares have increased over the past 4 years, and as such, to encourage clubs to attend, the SIAA Board at its recently concluded Board Meeting decided to offer a subsidy of US$200 per Skal member for registration, up to a maximum of 3 registrations for each Asian Area Club.
It is the hope of SIAA that this will be an incentive to clubs to attend and enjoy the fellowship and networking opportunities with fellow Skalleagues from across Asia.
In a letter from Joan Bechard of Skal International Asia, she explained that the subsidy will be paid back to the Club after the Congress has completed and may be applied to members who have already registered.
The 52nd Asian Area Congress will be held in Bali na Merusaka Nusa Dua Mengiat Ballroom from June 1-4, 2023. There will be an Evening Welcome Cocktail Party on Thursday, June 1, followed by an All Day Congress on Friday, June 2, including a networking lunch and dinner. Saturday, June 3, will offer a Half Day Congress including lunch, a tour, and a gala dinner.
