Having already confirmed new routes with Ryanair to Bari, Cagliari, Cork and Marseille for summer 2019, Budapest Airport is further committed to the airport next year by introducing services to the Spanish city of Seville.

Flights will begin on 2 May as Ryanair will offer a twice-weekly service with departures on Thursdays and Sundays. The new schedule will maximise the potential for those looking for a long weekend break in one of Spain’s most historic and picturesque cities, while also opens a seamless connection for the 700,000 residents of Seville to visit Budapest. The new service joins Ryanair’s existing Spanish routes from Budapest to Barcelona, Gran Canaria, Madrid, Malaga, Santander and Valencia.

“It is great to see that Ryanair has added this much-desired route to its schedules from Budapest for next summer,” comments Balázs Bogáts, Head of Airline Development, Budapest Airport. “During the first eight months of 2018, over 565,000 passengers have flown between Budapest and Spain, with this representing a 30% increase in traffic when compared to the same period of 2017. With the Spanish market seeing such growth, it is encouraging to know that one of our leading airline partners has seen the future potential by growing its footprint in the market,” added Bogáts.

Confirmed so far for summer 2019, Ryanair will offer a network of 38 routes from Budapest to destinations across 15 countries, including Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Spain and the United Kingdom. All of the LCC’s routes from Budapest are flown using its fleet of 189-seat 737-800s.
