Minor Hotels has appointed Adam Beadon as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing, based in its Johannesburg office. Beadon is responsible for leading the Sales and Marketing teams working on the company’s Anantara and AVANI brands in Southern Africa and Indian Ocean islands.

South African born Beadon joins Minor Hotels from his role as Director of Sales at the InterContinental Hotel Group’s Festival City Cluster and has more than 10 years’ experience in driving sales at some of the most exciting hospitality groups in South Africa and the Middle East. He achieved exceptional results at the InterContinental Doha, the Crowne Plaza Muscat, Oman, and at the Saxon Hotel Group.

“It’s a great honour to join Minor Hotels in South Africa and I’m looking forward to taking on this inspiring role. I’m excited to use my experience abroad to enhance the performance of this region – it’s good to be home,” says Beadon.

Minor Hotels has many exciting projects lined up for 2018, including the completion of the refurbishment of AVANI Gaborone Resort & Casino, AVANI Maseru Hotel, and AVANI Windhoek Hotel & Casino.

The group will also launch its first resort in Mauritius, AVANI Bel Ombre Mauritius Resort & Spa, celebrating its expansion onto the popular Indian Ocean island.

Beadon completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management in Adelaide, Australia.
