NORTH SHORE, Oahu, Hawaii – The Hawaii Tourism Association (HiTA) is pleased to welcome Turtle Bay Resort as its first resort to support the global tourism initiative of the association. HiTA has been aggressively expanding its global tourism Ambassador program, along with its Friends of the Media program, which works hand in hand with the global Ambassadors to raise awareness for Hawaii and to encourage the industry to book travel to Hawaii using its network, creating additional arrivals from new emerging markets.

The President of HiTA, Juergen T. Steinmetz, said: “It is my pleasure to welcome Turtle Bay Resort as our first accommodation member, which will directly benefit from immediate business from our new emerging markets, which have HiTA Ambassadors in place. We are looking forward to the Turtle Bay Resort to take the lead and inspire other Hawaii businesses, such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions, inbound operators, and transportation companies, to join our initiative and immediately prosper from additional business.
