Concerts of sacred music in Assisi and Spoleto show great success

The concerts of sacred music to support the Telethon Foundation of the Gaia Ferretti Orchestra and of the Chorakademie choir in Assisi and Spoleto have shown great success with the public and critics.

In Assisi in the Upper Basilica of San Francesco and in the Cathedral of Spoleto, classical music has met Italian art and literature for a perfect marriage and spiritual elevation, as well as fundraising to promote scientific research on rare genetic diseases thanks to Telethon.

Music by Bach, Rheinberger, Rutter, and Franck was performed by 57 Chorakademie singers and 11 musicians from the Gaia Ferretti Orchestra conducted by Maestro Bodo Bischoff.

Art historian Mirko Baldassare, president of the Mirabile Ingegno Association, recited pieces from Dante, Petrarca, and of the late poet, Alda Merino, dedicated to the Virgin alternated by Marian hymns.

In Spoleto, the Gaia Ferretti Orchestra performed in a fascinating “flash mob” before and after the concert in the splendid square of the Cathedral of Santa Maria dell’Assunta.

The FIDAPA (Italian Federation of Women, Professions and Business Section of Perugia and Spoleto) and the cultural association “Write your story,” creator of the literary prize “Women between memories and the future” have actively participated in the promotion of the two extraordinary events.

This fusion of music and solidarity has been financed by Gianluca Mech, entrepreneur in the food field, owner of the anonymous Vicenza-based scientific popularizer, creator of the Tisanoreica slimming method, and a great art lover.
