Bahrain to host 10th International Congress of MEACO

Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIEC) will be the venue for the 10th International Congress of the Middle East African Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO). This biennial congress will run from March 26-30, 2009 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Ms. Debbie Stanford-Kristiansen, acting CEO of Bahrain Exhibition & Convention Authority and Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Rajhi, president of the Middle East African Council of Ophthalmology), recently signed the memorandum of understanding for the congress on behalf of BECA and MEACO, respectively.

Also on hand at the signing ceremony were Dr. Ebtisam Al Alawi, chairperson of the Local Host Committee; Ms. Rasha AlShubaian, International Affairs & Conferences director – MEACO; Mr. Hussain Al Shaikh, supervisor – Operations Support Department, BECA; Ms. Heba Ghazwan, PR officer, BECA; Ms. Sheena Dias, Licensing officer, BECA; and Ms. Eman Taheri, events coordinator, BECA.
